Gingerbread Project 2012

Vision for the Future

Loading cool image shortlyIn 2012 the passion had not yet been re-ignited. At some point it occured to the design team that it was time to pass the torch. The next generation would have to carry on the tradition.

Ideas were kicked around on how to train the next generation. Maybe we would hold two a day practices to drill the expertise into the new apprentices.

Clearly some of the grandchildren were ready to carry on the family tradition, however the question was desire. Would they have what it takes to get up at 4:30am to start the baking process, retire at midnight after frosting all afternoon, then repeat the next day.

Well they would have to learn and so began the apprenticeship program. The recipes, the designs, the tools, and the tenacity would need to be passed down to future generations.
